Yet we noticed that many brands positioned silk as an exclusive luxury item, often with exceptionally high markups that place genuine silk out of reach for many people.
At the same time, fast-fashion alternatives frequently rely on polyester products marketed as substitutes for silk. While these pieces may be affordable, they cannot replicate the feel, durability, or natural beauty of real silk.
Recognising this gap, our founder set out to create a brand that makes high-quality silk scarves accessible without compromising craftsmanship. Lalouette was born with a simple mission: beautiful silk, thoughtfully designed, and fairly priced. We hope our scarves become cherished staples that you will enjoy for years to come.

Lalouette was founded in Hong Kong in 2019 by a Dutch founder with a passion for timeless design. Hong Kong’s global position allows us to work closely with trusted suppliers to source high-quality silk. Our silk is produced in China, the historic birthplace of silk-making and a region with a long-standing tradition of exceptional craftsmanship.
